The lower Sulcis can boast an extraordinary archaeological and historical/artistic heritage, with countless sites and monuments that are worth visiting.

The archaeological itinerary starts from the great pre-historical necropolis of Montessu.

The second stage includes a visit to the Menhirs of Terrazzu valley in Villaperuccio; from there, the nearby village of Nuxis and the Nuragic sacred well of Tattinu.

Then, a visit to the Archaeological Civic Museum of Santadi, with finds from the whole territory of lower Sulcis; a visit to the archaeological area of Pani Loriga (an important Phoenician/Punic settlement) and to the Nuragic Giants’ Tomb of Barrancu Mannu.

In Teulada, the ancient Nuraghe of Sa Perdaia, the Punic/Roman quarries near the beach of Piscinnì and the coastal towers of Capo Malfatano, Torre Budello and Piscinnì.

In the centre of Sant’Anna Arresi raises the complex nuraghe Arresi; in Giba, the nuraghe Meurras, while in the territory of Tratalias the nuraghe Tzirimagus is worth visiting.
