The portal dedicated to the archaeological area of Montessu supplies some tools to approach and improve knowledge about Sardinian pre-history, focusing on the area surrounding the centre of Villaperuccio, marked by menhirs, a village and a necropolis – this latter being considered one of the major instances within the Mediterranean basin.
The portal makes available the following: educational workbooks, interactive games, sheets on the territory and on single tombs composing the necropolis, short videos and an interactive, illustrated telling.

Besides online services, the Reception Centre of Montessu offers the availability of:

  • a CD containing the material that can be found online as well as video-documentaries on the necropolis area;
  • educational workbooks in three different typologies;
  • a leaflet-guide allowing to explore the cultural and tourist resources of the territory.

Teachers who are interested in planning any school activities on Sardinian pre-history, including a tour to Montessu, will find the Educational Workbooks (either in paper or electronic form, downloadable from the website), a simulation game to learn to classify the finds, 3D-simulations focused on the site and a classification of all the tombs that can be found in Montessu.
