Nuraghe Meurras had been strategically built upon a small rocky hillock dominating the
surrounding valley; its ruins suggest a structure of sub-squared blocks arranged in a cyclopic
work.
The building shows an unusual plan, with a main, elliptical edifice – perhaps belonging to an
ancient, ‘corridor-type’ nuraghe – partly reinforced by an imposing wall face to the north, with a
circular, eastern tower looking onto a small court provided with a reservoir.
At a few metres from the nuraghe are also three giants’ tombs and a vast village, dating back
to the Nuragic age, too.
